Geoffrey S. Cornish – A Celebrated Craftsman of the Course

Swansea Country Club was designed by Geoffrey Cornish, a Canadian born designer who is considered one of the cornerstones of modern day golf. Cornish is a celebrated golf course architects with the design of some 250 courses credited to his Uxbridge firm.

Designing a golf course is “a fascinating profession that requires technical and scientific knowledge combined with creativity and vision,” says Cornish.

Those who have played at Swansea will agree that Cornish demonstrates the truth in that statement with the design of our course.

Cornish has once again delivered a championship level course here at Swansea. Challenging holes that offer many strategic options embedded in a pristine natural reserve is the perfect combination that sets Swansea above the rest.
